The short version of how this works

By reading the capsules or taking the Challenge you accept these terms. They are deliberately brief.
The service
Wisdom Capsules is a free reading portal. The Wisdom Capsules Challenge is a free, timed assessment based on the capsules. We charge nothing for either, and there is nothing to buy.
Your account
An account is created when you first sign in with an email link or with Google. If you use an email link, keep access to that inbox; anyone who can receive a link at your address can sign in as you. If you use Google, keep your Google account secure. Sign out when using a shared computer — the account menu does this properly, ending the session on the server.
One person, one account. Please do not create multiple accounts to gain extra attempts.
How the Challenge works
- 25 questions, drawn from a larger bank, in a single attempt
- 20 minutes, timed by our server; when the time is up the attempt is submitted as it stands
- 23 correct answers out of 25 to pass
- at most 2 hints per attempt, one per question
- one attempt at a time, and a waiting period between attempts
These rules are enforced on our server. We may adjust them as the Challenge develops.
Fair use
Please do not copy, record, publish, or redistribute the questions; use software to take attempts automatically; attempt to reach other readers and their attempts, answers, or certificates; or interfere with the service or its infrastructure.
The questions are the substance of the Challenge. Publishing them does not defeat us so much as it spoils the exercise for everyone who comes after you.
Certificates
A certificate records that a specific account passed the Challenge on a specific date. It is a record of achievement on this site. It is not an accredited academic or professional qualification, and it does not certify competence for any employment, licensing, or educational purpose.
Certificates are generated when requested rather than stored as files, and each carries a code that lets anyone verify it. We may revoke a certificate obtained in breach of these terms.
Content
The capsules, the questions, and the material on this site belong to Wisdom Capsules. You may read, quote, and share links freely, including for teaching. You may not republish the material wholesale or present it as your own.
The capsules offer perspectives for reflection. They are not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.
Availability
We aim to keep the site running and your record intact, but this is a free service offered as it is, without a guarantee of availability, uninterrupted access, or freedom from error. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of the site.
Ending your account
You may ask us to delete your account at any time by writing to support@wisdomcapsules.com. We may suspend or remove an account that breaches these terms.
Changes
If these terms change we will update the date at the top of this page.
